PCOL Frederick E. Obar, the Acting Provincial Director of the Ilocos Norte Police Provincial Office, sent a letter to the Office of Congressman Angelo Marcos Barba on 27 January 2024 to extend the good news about the Dangerous Drug Board’s test results.
In his letter, the Police Colonel wrote, “This pertains to the implementation of DDB Regulation No. 13 Series of 2018, issued by the Dangerous Drug Board, which mandates the creation of Drug-free workplace policies in all government offices, particularly local government units. It also requires the the conduct of authorized drug testing to ensure that all public officers remain drug-free.
In this connection, I am pleased to inform you that through INPPO IMPLAN “PAGWADAN”, the Provincial Office, all Police Stations, 23 City/Town Halls/Offices, DILG Ilocos Norte Office, PDEA Ilocos Norte, Batac City Jail, 4th Marine Brigade, Camp Cape Bojeador (Burgos), Coast Guard Sub-Station (Burgos), Marine Battalion Landing Team-8 (Burgos), 7 BFP Stations, 10 Schools, and 5 business establishments have been declared as Drug-Free Workplaces by PDEA Ilocos Norte.”
