On 28 January 2024, the Official Facebook page of Congressman Angelo Marcos Barba released some of the District Representative’s thoughts.

The emotional reel, accompanied with a rather heartwrenching rendition of “Somewhere Only We Know”, starts with the question “Will we keep fighting for the betterment of our agricultural communities?” Barba is the author of a landmark legislation that mandates amnesty on farmers’ loans, an achievement that his 25-year-old self will likely be very proud of.

On 11 January, a pre-construction meeting was held for the P10-million farm-to-market road project fo the Department of Agrarian Reform. The project was sponsored by the Office of the Second Congressional District and will serve farmers from Barangay Sumader in the City of Batac.

Offering an insightful look into the political career of the Ilocos Norte public servant, the reel is now making its rounds on Facebook. Representatives of his office say, however, that the reel does not cover all of Barba’s achievements.
