The Office of Congressman Angelo Marcos Barba requested funding from the Department of Labor and Employment to encourage livelihood grants that will help lift Ilocanos out of extreme poverty. DOLE sent its response to the Representative of Ilocos Norte’s Second District on 26 January 2024, Friday. Below are the contents of the letter:
“The Department of Labor and Employment Regional Office 1 expresses its sincerest gratitude for your unwavering support for all its programs. As part of the region’s commitment to the people of the 2nd district, we would like to inform you that the 8 Kabuhayan projects – 7 of which are from District 2, proposed in co-partnership with the Provincial Government of Ilocos Norte, have been approved.
Below are the said projects with their corresponding amounts with a sum total of Php 7,484,669.00
